New York City’s Bloomberg proposes plastic bag fee.

New York City’s Mayor Bloomberg proposes charging shoppers 6 cents for every plastic bag needed at the register. I’m glad to hear that New York city is fed up with plastic bags but I’m not crazy about a tax to get shoppers to use reusable bags.  To read more on the mayor’s proposal check out the New York Times story on this topic.
